The President of Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), Nader Tavakoli, announced that the university has secured the top national ranking in clinical medical education, positioning itself among the top 200 to 300 universities globally. This achievement is attributed to the commitment of the faculty, experienced professors, robust educational infrastructure, and a diverse array of academic programs developed over nearly 51 years.

With over 70,000 alumni contributing to society in various academic and clinical roles, the university emphasizes its dedication to student welfare. Registration for new domestic students will commence immediately after the national entrance exam (Konkur) results are announced. The entire registration process will be conducted online, ensuring that students do not need to be physically present on campus.

Each year, IUMS hosts an orientation event for incoming students, which includes campus tours, cultural activities, and parental invitations. This initiative aims to familiarize students with academic requirements and university policies, facilitating a smoother transition into their educational journey.

In light of current economic challenges, Tavakoli reassured that efforts are being made to secure dormitory accommodations and essential amenities for students, despite the national entrance exam handbook not mandating such provisions. "We strive to provide adequate housing, welfare facilities, and dining services, complemented by a range of cultural programs to enhance the academic experience," he stated.

Tavakoli also highlighted the university's commitment to fostering student engagement through various clubs and associations. Over 35 active groups operate across cultural, artistic, and scientific domains, strengthening the connection between students and the university community.

The university hosts numerous cultural programs, including student excursions and festivals, reinforcing its vision as more than just an academic institution. IUMS aims to create an enriching environment that encourages interaction and participation in cultural, social, and scientific activities alongside academic pursuits.
